Art is often a window into the cultural climate at a certain point in time. @kanyewest & @DrakeOfficial uniting for the #freelarryhoover concert is definitely a huge moment that I wanted to capture in the right way.✨
The two biggest names in the game swapping songs felt surreal, and Virgil being there in spirit made it extra special 🕊
Not only did they shout out their mutual friend and collaborator, the sky-blue color palette of the concert also reminded me of his refreshing work. Just like Virgil Abloh his presence was undeniable at this concert, it has become impossible to imagine our world without the creations of these artists. 🙏
Over the last few weeks, I’ve rewatched every single Virgil interview. Thank you for being a cultural pioneer and an incredibly brave designer. 💛🕊💫
