Sound Town SWM16-PRO™ Karaoke Mixer System | How to connect to a digital optical (Toslink) device.
The Optical (Toslink) on the SWM16-PRO™ karaoke mixer allows you to extract the audio from a Smart TV to the mixer. This allows the mixer to blend the music and vocal, then send the mixed signals to a soundbar or receiver.

【CONNECTION INSTRUCTIONS】
SMART TV to SWM16-PRO™ to OPTICAL INPUT DEVICES
STEP 1: SMART TV
● Connect one end of the Optical (Toslink) Cable to the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT OPTICAL Port
STEP 2: SWM16-PRO™
● Plug in the power cord and connect the other end of the Optical (Toslink) Cable to the OPTICAL IN Port
● Grab another Optical (Toslink) cable and connect one end to the OPTICAL OUT Port
● Turn on the SWM16-PRO
STEP 3: OPTICAL INPUT DEVICE
● Connect the other end of the Optical (Toslink) Cable into the OPTICAL Port
● Turn on the Optical input device
STEP 4: SMART TV
● Turn on the Smart TV
● Choose the Karaoke app on the Smart TV
STEP 5: OPTICAL INPUT DEVICE
● Change the input settings on your Optical Input Device to OPTICAL
STEP 6: SWM16-PRO (FINAL)
● Adjust the MUSIC and MIC volume knobs to MID-MAX range
● Adjust the ECHO and TONE knobs according to user preference
● Turn on the microphones and test the microphones
If SWM16-PRO is connected successfully, the TV’s sound source should be set on Optical instead of the TV Speaker
