$502 MILLION Stolen in Three Months – CertiK's Web3 Hack3d Security Report Q1 2024
$502 million was lost across 223 onchain security incidents in the first quarter of 2024. This represents a 54% increase in value lost compared to Q1 of 2023, but a minor 3.8% decrease from Q4’s losses. This is just about exactly at the median loss of $504 million per quarter since 2020. Private key compromises are still the most damaging attack vector, accounting for almost half of all losses in Q1.
