Many people do not realize that cigarette filters are made of a type of plastic called acetate. When in the environment, acetate can cause various problems. Cheng Ho, one of the Global Ecobrick Alliance Trainers, introduces a simple ritual to manage cigarette butts. Ecobrick is designed to prevent plastics (such as cigarette filters) from polluting the environment, made into building blocks that can be used over and over again.
Ecobrick uses plastic to secure plastic. Ecobrick prevents plastic from breaking down into microplastics, gases and toxic substances. It is as simple as removing cigarette paper from an acetate filter and putting it into your Ecobrick. You can make Ecobrick full of cigarette filters. We named it Cigbrick. One 600ml Cigbrick can contain more than 1,000 filters.
