"1 - Kurvatur (2023)
One of many prototypes crafted during the summer of 2023, utilizing a new pitch-, chord-, and harmony-aware, "playable" sampling engine. Filled with tons of vocal recordings, foley sounds, effects, and original glitch cuts from my 1990s archives, the aim was to create a summer vibe. Those beats might still be a bit provisional, though, so I might revisit this project in the coming summer.
2 - Planimetric (2013)
Intended to kick off a series of free, complimentary tracks for my then-developing Bandcamp community, "subscribe to my newsletter"-style. Unsurprisingly, it took me ten years to finally pursue this initiative for real with this EP series. This track essentially fuses two sketches into one, blending my 2010s physical modeling guitar work with melodic glitch sequences reminiscent of "94diskont."
3 - Workaround (1996)
From an unreleased album post-Mille Plateaux and pre-"Dok," and still produced on a hardware sampler, just having transitioned from my trusty Yamaha TX16W to a maxed-out Kurzweil K2000R, complete with a fancy MO drive. Shortly thereafter, though, I discovered the almighty SoundMaker (plus the legendary "SoundMagicFX" plug-ins), which irreversibly launched me into the realm of software."
