Planting sugar beets! The weather has been pretty nice to get our beets in early. We'll see the first ones we planted come up soon!
This is a new planter for us this year as some of you have already noticed. It took us a while to get it working how we want it and it was used when we bought it so some things needed to be replaced and serviced. There was already precision planting stuff on it like delta force and speedtubes. If you want more info on that I could make a video during corn planting. We planted most of our beets at 6mph and got it up to 8mph when it was late one night so we could get done faster after a breakdown! We had troubles getting our fungicide pump/setup to work the first few days :/ but other than that we think it will work good. I'm ready to get some corn in the ground now! P&C Ag in Reese helped us get it ready for planting this spring so a big thanks to them! We wouldn't have known how to set up or run the new system without their help.
