Tele-Comics NBC Comics Episode 2 Early Cartoon Series Lost Show 1950 HD Danny March Space Barton Kid
Tele-Comics was one of the very first made-for-TV cartoon series. It was broadcast as a 15 minute show from 1949 to 1951. Its name was eventually changed from Telecomics to NBC Comics.
This show is extremely rare. After searching, it appears that this could be the only existing print of this episode. The print does not state the episode number. My guess is that it is probably episode 2, or maybe episode 3, although I cannot find any episode list for this series. I am thinking this could be episode two for these reasons: From the dialog, it is clear there is at least one episode prior to this one and Kid Champion does not yet have a manager. I would expect Kid Champion to take on the manager very early.
This is a 4K scan of my 16mm print. The print appears to have been played a bit and previously it was not stored well, but still looks pretty good and significantly better than a few other clips that are around of other episodes. From what I can find on the internet, there are very few prints that are known to exist from this show.
