Amid these roles, his notary commission became a rewarding and enjoyable side venture. However, in 2020, when COVID-19 abruptly halted his aviation career, Tyler found himself at a crossroads. With a three-month-old baby at home, waiting for the skies to reopen wasn't an option.
Determined to turn his notary side hustle into a full-scale service, Tyler soon encountered the limitations of existing software. The available options were either cumbersome, outdated, or overpriced, doubling his workload instead of easing it. Frustrated but motivated, Tyler decided to channel his expertise and collaborate with industry colleagues he knew from his deployment days to build something better.
The result was CloseWise, a platform born out of a deep understanding of the needs of notaries, signing services, and other businesses. What started as a personal solution quickly grew into a vital tool for the industry. Tyler eventually left behind his other ventures, including his passion for flying, to fully dedicate himself to CloseWise and NotaryNearMe.com.
