This video shows a bunch of black ants in the Mojave Desert,at El Mirage Dry Lake, attacking two large watermelon rind. In the video, the ants are seen taking the parts of the watermelon they are eating back into their hole to feed their queen. These parts of the watermelon would be good for the ants due to the temperatures being close to 100 degrees and providing water to the ants' bodies.
