The Volvo XC60 got a facelift for 2026. We received a new grill, new taillights, updated color and wheel options and an updated infotainment system. There are also some mechanical, changes, however, the underpinnings remained the same.
This car sits on Volvo’s SPA One platform, which dates back to 2014 and was designed with hybridization or electrification in mind,.
It has a double wishbone front suspension, multilink in the back, combined with either non-adaptive, dual-flow dampers, or an optional air suspension with adaptive dampers which can get stiffer or softer, depending on the drive mode you’re in and same with the ride hight - you can raise the car or lower it, depending on what you need.
We have 2 engine options - a 247 hp mild hybrid B5 and a 455 hp plug-in hybrid T8.
All-wheel drive is standard in the XC60, B5 gets an on-demand Haldex-based unit. In case of the plug-in model, there is no physical driveshaft - the front axle is powered by an internal combustion engine, and the rear axle is driven by the electric motor.
We have 4 trim levels to choose from - Core, Plus, Ultra, and Polestar Engineered, with the Polestar being a performance oriented that’s meant to rival SUVs like an Audi SQ5, BMW X3 M50 or a Mercedes GLC 43. Pricing starts at around $51,000 and can reach up to $81,000.
