Die Vision (The Vision) was a post punk band from East Berlin from 1986-1994. Original name was Komakino in reference to the Joy Division song. This is the full recording of the When the Shadows Cry tape from 1987 which I believe was a demo.

"First active under the name Komakino in the line-up Geyer / Kunstmann / Radzischewski together with the T42 musicians Andreas "Devo" Lehman (bg) and Tom Ebeling (keyb). After their dissolution in 1986, the band formed with Jörg Müller and Jan Wanschura in East Berlin, which Joy Division gave as their role model, but developed an independent sound from it, which was often described as "guitar pop" or "pop with head guts" and beyond was always characterized by an electro-heavy impact. After three tapes had been self-produced and distributed in the last years of the GDR, "Torture" and "Fascination" were released in the early 1990s .the two regular longplayers of the formation on their own label Vulture , which were accompanied by successful tours, especially in the Berlin area. Musical differences (singer Geyer probably wanted to develop the band in the direction of dance in contrast to his colleagues) led to the band splitting up a year later."
