There is a special relationship between a father and a daughter and we see the culmination of this as he gives her away on her wedding day. It’s something that I have seen hundreds of times but is no less affecting each time I capture it.
In this film we see Sophie and her dad take this step in their relationship together. We also see Barney begin this same journey with his own daughter as he watches her walk down the aisle towards him, knowing that one day he will also give her away.
I recently became a father to my daughter Olivia and this will be a moment that I will very much look forward to in my own journey of being a father.
This wedding took place at Gosfield Hall, a gorgeous Georgian mansion in the heart of Essex. It was a beautiful summers day so Sophie and Barney were able to make use of Gosfield Hall's outdoor ceremony option.
