Archery bighorn sheep taken in the wide-open with a Stalker Decoy!
Sonya Garcia and her husband Toby use a bow-mounted Stalker Decoy to close within bowhunting range of this Colorado bighorn ram! Toby writes, “The Stalker Decoy really worked for us! We sat on a little knoll watching sheep that were bedded in the wide open. Two rams finally got up and fed towards us while the ewes remained bedded and I told Sonya to put the decoy on her bow. We stalked single file straight at them behind the decoy. We got within range with all the ewes looking right at us and they never spooked! The ram she shot looked at us, but went back to feeding allowing her to make a great shot! 14th day of a 15 day season and this was her only chance at a legal ram. She was pretty happy to punch that tag!”
