WHEN IS THE NEXT HISTORICAL COMING? - Total War Speculation
Since I first started this channel on the 22nd of March 2021, just over 13 months ago now, I’ve had 613 comments asking me when I think the next Historical Total War game is going to be announced or released. That’s about 5% of my total comments which is actually a lot more than I expected.
Historical grand strategy games are currently dominated by Paradox but since I’ve been getting into games like CK3 and Imperator Rome I have been realising why they don’t quite do what Total War does. You may get a kick out of painting the map, managing family affairs & alliances for a while but the yearning for a good old Total War battle is just too strong.
So with Warhammer 3’s rocky launch, with games like Knights of Honour 2 or Manor Lords in development that have a similar style and with the Historical Total War community that’s clearly still around asking me when I think it’s going to come out, there’s plenty of reason why a new historical total war could be made next.. The question is when?
