Cornish Choughs are birds of legend, believed to be the spirit of King Arthur, and are symbols of Cornwall. The chough features on the Cornish coat of arms.
Choughs disappeared from Cornwall in 1973, but returned, naturally in 2001. Since then they have flourished, and over 100 choughs fledged from nests in Cornwall in 2023.
