Recap: the first half | WMC 2022
Samen vieren we weer het feest van de blaasmuziek in Klankstad Kerkrade! Wat er tijdens deze eerste anderhalve week van WMC 2022 allemaal gebeurde? Veel! Er streden bands en ensembles om de hoogste eer tijdens de Concertwedstrijden, Jan Cober gaf een fenomenaal optreden met zijn Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Madrid, bands uit Cuba en Uganda zetten de boel volledig op z’n kop, de Internationale Dirigentenwedstrijd ging van start en we zagen de prachtige symbiose tussen blaasmuziek en urban dance tijdens Wind & Dance Fusion. Bovendien vonden we elkaar weer op de Kerkraadse markt voor goede muziek en een goed feestje. De toon is gezet!

Together we once again celebrate the festival of wind music in Klankstad Kerkrade! What happened during this first week and a half of WMC 2022? A lot! Bands and ensembles competed for the highest honors during the Concert Contests, Jan Cober gave a phenomenal performance with his Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Madrid, bands from Cuba and Uganda turned the place completely upside down, the International Conductors Contest started and we saw the beautiful symbiosis between wind music and urban dance during Wind & Dance Fusion. Moreover, we found each other again at the Kerkrade market for good music and a good party.
