#Thandiani is a hill station located about 30km from #Abbottabad (90 mints drive) at an altitude of 9020 feets.
It was out first tour, we were sitting infront of room heater in a rainy day. Suddenly at 12 pm we decided to go to thandyani, Qesar shah refused to go but we stuck to our plan. We did our lynch and took a sat in passenger's carry vehicle, who took 180/person fare and left us at Thandiani road, from there we walked almost for 2 miles, we thought it would have lots of hotels and people but were astonished to witness nothing but each other. Thus we took our back around 5:30 almost dark, later we came to know this place is full of Cheetah and monkeys etc. Thank God, All is well.
Thandiani literally means “very cold”. It is a superb place for nature lovers. The beauty of this lush green hill station is not spoiled by the crowds like many of other hill stations in summer making it a perfect place to go for those who want to relax in a peaceful place far away from the hustle bustle of busy modern life.
Thandiani was discovered and established as a sanatorium during British rule, for the comfort of officers positioned at the Abbottabad Cant. There are some European houses and a small bazaar which are occupied only during the summer months.
