A Science Parody of One Direction's "Drag Me Down". Original music video:    • One Direction - Drag Me Down (Official Video)

Full lyrics below:

"Speed of Sound"

We hear it everyday,
disturbances in waves,
moving through the air around us.

Though waveforms seem alike,
sound is slower than light,
we see it in the world around us.

Like when you see lightning flash across the sky.
And it takes a minute for thunder to reply.
Or jets that qualify as Mach II avionics
we call them Supersonic.

Ohhh, temperature, sea level,
and molecular composition
of solids, gas and liquids,
these are things that affect the speed of -

The average, speed of sound is,
761mph,
In the sea, and on mountains,
molecules will affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of sound.

When whales communicate, sound travels at a rate
4.3x faster than in air.
And when you're somewhere cold,
then sound will travel slow,
and up in space it travels nowhere.

'Cause sound changes the pressure of a medium,
whether oxygen, hydrogen even calcium.
It needs molecules around it to vibrate,
to travel to any place.

Ohhh, temperature, sea level,
and molecular composition
of solids, gas and liquids,
these are things that affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of -

The average, speed of sound is,
761mph,
In the sea, and on mountains,
molecules will affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of sound.

Varying conditions...
Will affect the speed of sound.

Thanks so much for watching!!!
