Joe Biden is viewed by the Democratic establishment as the "safe" candidate, the one who can beat Trump. Once again, the Democratic forces and their marketing arm (mass media) have gone on the offensive against Bernie, painting him as unable to unite the Democrats and pull in middle-of-the-road voters who are supposedly tired of Trump.
I think this is a critical miscalculation, and Biden can't articulate consistently his views, he's boring, and when he wins the Democratic nomination it'll mean the start of Trump's second term.
