This is a really common question in the Design community and I have never found someone that gave a clear answer to it. So, I decided to have a
chill chat with you and give you my point of view on the topic. Knowing how to code have huge benefits for us Designers and not that many cons. As I said , you can also learn some design driven solutions that can help you develop your web designs and put them live on the web with very few (if none) lines of code!
PS: it is not true that designers shouldn't learn how to code, it is only one more skill that can really step up your game and business.
