Water Hammer vs Soda Hammer (18,000FPS Slow Motion)
Water hammer is a common bar trick that has some awesome physics that makes it work! A number of YouTubers have shown how this works and break down the science behind it. (Marker Rober/BackyardScientist and TheSlowMoGuys are great ones to check out!) However, I wanted to see if we could explore why carbonated beverages in particular don't break the bottles. This is what we came up with! All filmed in glorious ultra slow motion!
