Obon Festival: What is it?
While Japan begins to celebrate Obon, the Little Netsuke has put together a short video explaining the origins of the festival as well as the modern customs.
Obon is one of three major holiday seasons. It is a hallmark of summer in Japan and is particularly known for the use of lanterns and dances (bon odori).
