How to install a Ryzen/AM4 & AM5 Wraith CPU Cooler

A clear and quick guide to installing a Ryzen CPU and the stock heatsink/fan/cooler supplied with many AM4/Ryzen CPU's. Please note the procedure for installation is the same on AM4 and AM5 motherboards, both have an identical design. AM4 coolers can be used on AM5 boards too. The only difference is the AM5 CPUs are using LGA (landing grip array) compared to the AM4 pins which are present on the CPU. The backplate is required to screw the AMD cooler into it, on the AM4 boards it's removable, on the AM5 ones it's generally not.
The AMD Wraith coolers come boxed with many CPU's but require the brackets to be removed from the motherboard to fit the cooler which screws directly to the back plate. I show you how to install the CPU and the AMD stock cooler.
