The pantaloon (Psychonauts: hypothetical 3 AU)
This video serves as a bit of an announcement... I'm writing a big ol' Psychonauts fanfic! As hinted at by the title, it's basically a hypothetical of if Double Fine walked up to me and said "Hey. We want you to continue the narrative of these games in the form of a single-season Netflix show." I know that's oddly specific, but it's my hypothetical, I get to do what I want. I'm still in the plotting stage RN, but once I actually write it, I plan on posting it to AO3. I feel like It could be really good writing practice for me as someone who wants to be a published author one day.
Anyways, this video kind of shows the arc I want to give Raz in this AU. Basically, his arc revolves around him learning to prioritize his own mental health after he's spent the past two games just helping others. One of the biggest running gags in this fandom is how much therapy this ten-year-old needs, so I thought... Why not give him a therapy arc?
As for the hoodie guy and yellow-eyed guy at the end, they're OCs! The hoodie guy is Eryn Zircon (she/they) and the yellow-eyed guy is Primula Liza (she/her) Eryn is a Psychonauts agent who was on vacation during the second game, and Primula is the main villain of the AU (and also Eryn's ex-BFF)
Also you're probably wondering: Why does the thumbnail say PN:JA? Well, it's short for "Psychonauts: Junior Agents," which is the title I'm giving this AU!
