This year I’m so fortunate to invite some of my dear friends and celebrated musicians from Vancouver joining us! Ensemble affectionato quartet is a group of energetic young artists who joined the trend of playing “songs of comfort “ for front line workers from early pandemic! Eric Wong and Chloe Hurst are a group musicians who have been playing chamber music through out Vancouver area! This year we also got Jonathan Stuchbery joining us from Toronto! He will bring his ancient baroque guitar and giant theorbo to play some of the early music from his studies! Libby Yu got national and international awards, is a famous concert pianist in Vancouver! We are so furtunate to have her as our spotlights musicians to join our concert!
I’m so excited for this excellent groups of musicians to join us for 2021’s new year concert! If you are able, I am asking you to donate to cancer research! Early this year, my mentor Dr Frank Beier from Western University has diagnosed with rare form of salivary gland cancer! After rounds of surgeries and radiation, he got lung metastasis. They can't give him a clear prognosis at this time! Please donate to cancer research to help find a cure for cancer!
