Ballistae and Flamethrowers are able to be hit/destroyed by invaders, which is interesting, but they act as entities in the host's world. Equipping Godskin Swaddling Cloth and attacking them consecutively will allow you to proc the talisman's effect which will earn you HP for practically free. Situational, but could definitely help in some invasions. Breaking them will also trigger Taker's Cameo and Ancestral Horn's effect along with similar equipment. Ballistae/Flamethrowers can be found in a lot of the game like Stormveil Castle, Redmane Castle, Raya Lucaria, Castle Sol, Haligtree, and more.
Of course, hosts and phantoms can also utilize this, but now you know.
