Today we're adventuring in a 1975 Piper, Arrow II, with 12K hours, that is on her third engine, and second paint job. We'll be flying from Georgetown, GTU to San Marcos, KHYI, using Foreflight to plan our adventure.
Todd Allen is a private pilot that got his license in college. However, because this plan is considered complex with an adjustable speed prop, retractable landing gear, and he took a 10-year break in flying he had to several hours with an instructor to be insured. I am his second solo flight with a passenger.
Since we flew under 2100 feet we were able to get an aerial view of the City of Austin, Texas.
