Back when I was filming other restrooms in the NYC Subway System in 2012 (https://bit.ly/2K05H19), I came to this one, but its door was locked and had a sign saying that it was out of order. So I left it alone for several years. Then one day, when a place I planned to go to was closed because of a coming snow squall, I remembered the restroom and decided to come back to it to see if it was open again. It was open, but it was not very welcoming... yuck!
The New York City Subway System has restrooms located inside lots of its stations in over four of the city's boroughs, but it doesn't have them in all of its stations. According to Wikipedia, before 2013, there were 129 restrooms in only 77 of the system's 468 stations. What makes finding a useful restroom even tougher is that many of them are being locked up and turned into storage areas for the workers. But I did manage to find and film some of the remaining ones that are still open to the public. This is one of more than 45 places that I have found. The conditions inside many of them are just like what you see at the subway station platforms -- dirty, filthy, messy, smelly, stinky, rusty, and disgusting. This men's room is no different.
