In 1989 Scott McNelley and George Azar set out to change the way moving was done. Looking at the relocation process from a customer's viewpoint was key. McNelley had successfully started and run his first startup while in college. Azar grew up the son of an immigrant from Syria learned from an early age the benefits of smarts and hard work. Together they sought out one of the true innovative talents in the moving business. That fellow is the iconic inventor/marketer Ed Katz "Guru of Office Moving". With a small loan, a 1976 pickup truck, and an office in a small cotton warehouse the two hatched a different type of moving service. Anything accepted as good at regular moving companies was targeted to be made great. Anything that was a common complaint in the moving industry was made a priority not to be allowed at Admiral.
With no listing for the first year in even the yellow page, every job Admiral got was from pure hustle. Every customer had to become a fan of Admiral it's people, the story and the service.
Every year since 1989 the company has grown. Many of the workers have been with Admiral since the beginning. Now with two locations Admiral is the largest mover in central alabama,. More importantly Admiral continues to win awards for top quality service.
In 2006 Admiral Movers became an agent for Mayflower Transit. Admiral Ranks at the very top in quality scores with in the Mayflower system. Mayflower is among the best van lines in the nation.
25 years later Admiral Movers is considered the number one moving company in Alabama. Being a recognized innovator and leader in the Southeastern United States has only made the Admiral Family want to be better and continue the pursuit of excellence.
