"The view of the city from our terrace will be unique and incomparable, and that is why this project has become a key part of the renovation," Antonio Vázquez stated this Wednesday.
It was in 1964 that the doors of the Hotel Conde Luna first opened wide to its guests. Since then, this centrally located establishment has become a unique landmark in the sector.
Renovation
Its location has made it a prime accommodation for tourists, but at the same time, it has become a meeting point for some of the city's most important social events.
Now, the Hotel Conde Luna is undergoing a thorough renovation. More than two years of intensive work and an investment of five million euros, with the final deadline of 2015, will ensure that León can enjoy a new Conde Luna hotel.
The company that owns the establishment has decided to undertake the most significant renovation ever to its entire infrastructure.
Everything will be new, from the reception to the kitchens, from the lounges to its 142 rooms. New spaces will be created for guests, there will be more leisure areas, and all of this will be done without closing a single day.
"Until now, we have undertaken a thorough internal renovation, hidden from the public, primarily in the service areas. From now on, a more visible part of the work will begin, but always maintaining public attention," warns Antonio Vázquez.
At the top of Castile and León
The heart of the "old" Conde Luna hotel remains, that spirit of service, but with a more modernist feel. "The goal is to create an establishment located not only at the top of León, but also of Castile and León," he notes.
