How to Use Excel 365 Flash Fill
Oh, at the time you are going to save using Excel Flash Fill because of the number of data transformation and data extraction tasks you can do without a formula.
What you will learn in this tutorial. You will not need a formula for any of these tasks.
1) What Flash Fill does
2) How to join text columns together
3) How to extract a year from a date field
4) How to create email addresses for a list of people without a formula
5) How to extract the year portion of date field into a new column. You can also extract only the month or a day, if needed
6) Clean up data that is improperly cased. You probably used the PROPER function in the past but no need with Flash Fill.
7) Break text within a single cell into multiple columns without a formula. For example, you have an Employee Name field and the entire name is in that field. Your goal is to break it out into a First Name and Last Name field. In a matter of seconds, Flash Fill can accomplish this for you.

Steps:
1. Cick the File Tab (This opens the Backstage view of Excel.)
2. Click Options at the bottom left of the screen. (The Option dialog box opens.)
3. Click Advanced
4. On the right-hand side, scroll until you see the option Automatically Flash Fill and check the box, if it's not already checked.
5. Click OK to complete.
