Here is my first DIY blog post and video. Hope you like it this project as much as I did. I know I love to craft!
I did this for Valentine's Day for my boyfriend since he likes rustic things. He loved it. It's a great anniversary, Valentine's Day, Birthday gift. I have also seen this being used for house décor. It's pretty easy and fast to make.
You'll need:
1. Piece of Wood http://amzn.to/1fkKsLf
2. Picture printed on regular paper
3. Medium Gloss Gel http://amzn.to/1jvGioP
4. Mod Podge Matte Finish http://amzn.to/1hs1o5D
5. Sponge http://amzn.to/1drLuW2
6. Brush http://amzn.to/1drLuW2
Here are ten simple, easy and fast steps on how to transfer your picture to wood:
STEP ONE: Print out the picture you will use on regular paper. I did mine in sepia.
STEP TWO: Cut the picture in the shape and size of wood where you will put it. Remember, the picture will be facing down.
STEP THREE: Using the brush, cover the wood with the gloss gel on the area where the picture will be located.
STEP FOUR: Place the picture face down, on the area of the wood covered with the gel gloss.
STEP FIVE: Make sure to push all bubbles out.
STEP SIX: Let it dry overnight.
STEP SEVEN: Once it's completely dry, wet the picture with the sponge.
STEP EIGHT: Rub your fingers on the wet paper until it starts to peel off and you are able to see the picture.
STEP NINE: Once it is completely peeled off and you can see the picture, clean any remainings.
STEP 10: Apply Mod Podge and let it dry.
And your picture is ready! Hope you enjoy crafting this. I know I did!
