The villages of Lamjung are an ideal representation of rural Nepal. Their living style, tradition, occupation, and community make them unique. Far away from city areas, a small group of Gurung people has made small communities in Lamjung, where it is very difficult to even reach there. These villages are located on sloppy cliffs and very near to the Himalayas. The houses are made similarly according to the architectural style of that particular community. Their main occupation is still farming. And they work even in old age. In these villages live some real heroes who show great courage and strength in the Mad Honey-Hunting community. They risk their life to collect exotic mad honey with flimsy ropes and hand-made ladders swinging loosely up in the air. They work hard to run their lifestyle, and their happiness with their simple yet fulfilling life is inspiring.
