A professor in my PR class predicted the spread of COVID-19 at this scale before the official quarantine, and I have been self-isolating in my home accordingly since 03/13/2020. I leave the house approximately 5 times a day to walk Dory to use "the facilities," and because those in my community fail to heed government recommendations, I limit these outings to 10 minute increments.
If you'd like to donate to Feeding America or Meals on Wheels, both organizations are in need of extra funding during this pandemic to help get meals to those in need. The elderly are at particularly high risk of exposure during this time, many of whom rely on these services just to get their basic dietary needs met.
