DIY Extra added wind protection
In strong winds, you should hang your hammock with the head or foot end facing the wind. The Helsdon Hammock tent will keep you dry and safe in strong winds, but in extreme cases, a strong wind from the side might lift the side of the tent allowing wind or rain inside. A small piece of Velcro and two minutes of work will add an extra layer of protection to your Helsdon Hammock.
Do not sew on Velcro to the bottom of the hammock since the seam will add a weakness to the fabric that might cause the fabric tear years later.
