Samarkand. 100 years at lunchtime.
We arrived in ancient Samarkand. We checked into a historic site near the Gur Emir Mausoleum. Here we'll visit the Siab Bazaar, sample Samarkand pilaf and Samarkand flatbreads, and stroll through the old city, where we'll visit Registan Square (Ulugbek Madrasah, Sherdor Madrasah, and Tillya-Kari Madrasah), the Aksaray Mausoleum, the Rukhabad Mausoleum, the Shahi Zinda Mausoleum, the Bibi Khanum Mausoleum, the Makhsumbobo Mausoleum, the Khazret-Khizr Mosque, and the Bibi-Khanym Mosque. We'll also stroll through Alisher Navoi Park and University Boulevard. Assalamu alaikum!
