2019 Earth Day & Arbor Day Celebration
The City of Concord, New Hampshire held an Earth Day and Arbor Day Celebration at Abbot-Downing School on April 19, 2019. The elementary students enjoyed our Touch-A-Truck feature, Concord Library's bookmark making, and the tree planting ceremony. Students held an Earth Day skit and then participated in our Blue Bag Program to perform a litter clean-up around the school perimeter. Students also displayed trash and recycling posters throughout their school to educate about acceptable recycling materials and reduce contamination. We are thankful for Abbot-Downing School's efforts to keep our community clean and practice sustainable recycling.
