Lubricating the wheel bearings of the UAZ Patriot 2021
Part two of the video: checking the grease in the wheel bearings after a long drive and a dip in a sand-clay-water slurry.
We removed the rear drum – also to check for dirt.
We added Litol to the front hub.
Basically, a preventative inspection.
Changing the axle oil in our 2021 UAZ Patriot automatic transmission.
I tried to create detailed instructions for changing the oil with visual video clips.
After a few drives and getting stuck in the mud, I decided to check the axle oil – and it was worth it!
The mileage at the time of the check was 21,000 km. The front axle no longer contained oil, but some kind of sticky substance.
I bought transmission oil from Lukoil with the UAZ emblem – three 1-liter canisters.
Each axle holds 1.25 liters of oil. I also tested the plastic syringe I bought earlier and am quite satisfied – it's good I didn't spend an extra 700 rubles on a more expensive metal tool.
Also, since we're on the overpass, we inspected the underbody of the car after 21,000 km. What's encouraging is that the anti-corrosion coating hasn't come off anywhere, and there are no spots with stuck-on dirt or rust – quite adequate for our operating conditions!
