This Sobol is currently a rear-wheel drive 4x2, but GAZ will soon add front-wheel drive. Under the hood is the familiar 2.8-liter Cummins engine with 140 horsepower and a new six-speed transmission with a cable-actuated shifter – a killer combination!
The layout is driver and six passengers. True, this version has almost no trunk space, but it's worth it! The design is 5 stars, in my opinion: only 10 USB ports throughout the cabin, plus convenient coat hooks, six cup holders, an 18-way adjustable sprung driver's seat, a rearview camera, hidden convenient storage compartments on the sides of the trunk, a hatch in the passenger compartment, a pre-heater, an independent heater, and a heated windshield – a fantastic option. Isn't this what the UAZ Bukhanka should have been like?!!!!
