Watch incredible sights of Maliau Basin at home and be amazed as Nature Guide Jean Dais share interesting details about this beautiful destination.
Hidden in the interiors of Borneo, Maliau Basin was first discovered by chance when a pilot nearly hit the cliffs of the northern rim in 1940s. It was only explored by outsiders in the early 1980s. Once researchers were able to study Maliau Basin, they found that the ecosystem has evolved within itself in this natural forming bowl. Entering Maliau Basin is like being in a whole different world, and finding and reaching it was almost an impossible feat. That is why it is named as the Lost World of Sabah.
