[ANIM] NATURE - Full Animatic
Complete animatic of the NATURE short movie I am producing.
NATURE is a short film about ecology, more specifically on the mass extinction of species that we are currently experiencing and which is likely to accelerate in the years to come.
A little boy walks alone in an abandoned desert town. A light attracts him and the graffiti of a butterfly comes alive as he approaches. The boy pursues the butterfly, amazed, in the alleys in which the walls of the buildings are covered with drawings of animals running, swimming and flying in a bucolic setting.
As he watches the flying birds painted on the walls, he stumbles over a dead shrub. While he gets up, he finds the sadness of the real world, where all life seems to have disappeared. He falls apart seeing the lifeless bodies of animals around him.
A light at the end of the street intrigues him again. This time, a majestic stag shows him the way to go. Thus, he continues his course and stops in a dead end where the butterfly is frozen on the back wall.
A crow hits the butterfly head-on, which flaps its wings one last time before exploding to cover the entire wall it had landed on. His body then lets glimpse this magnificent and full of life world which paraded throughout the child's race. Two adults stand in the evergreen scenery and extend their arms to the young boy. The latter comes forward and embraces them tenderly. He has just found his loved ones and all the other living beings that have left our desert Earth.
