It was the wedding of Keir Johnston & his wife Grace that the dress initially sparked debate.
Grace’s mum had sent her daughter a photo of the dress to ask if she should wear it to the wedding. They then started discussing what colour the dress was.
A guest at the wedding Caitlin McNeill posted the photo to Tumblr and the whole world got involved in the debate.
The married couple then even appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show to discuss the viral post.
However, Keir is now accused of attempting to murd£r his wife.
The 38 year old has been accused of DV against Grace over an 11-year span.
It is alleged that he tried to str4ngle her, threatened to ki11 her and threatened her with a kn1fe.
