Chess Tournament Game 5: For Bronze Trophy!
We're 3-1, win and get Bronze! Lose and it's 3-2. Is that good enough?
I had the lead in game one and blundered some plays, and failed to find the chances that were there (but also blundered more and he failed to find the daggers too)
I had a full piece blunder in game 3 as well, but thankfully I was up a piece prior to it that I could recover.
So did I play well overall? I'm not sure how I feel about it. I shouldn't expect myself to have been perfect but I'd like to avoid major 1-move blunders. Any time you have a lead and can't win feels rough too, different from getting blown away.
Perhaps it just depends on how this game goes. If I do well, overall I should be pleased. It's my first tournament back, my anxiety is a massive obstacle I have to deal with, and I certainly feel my rating should be higher than the tournament I entered. I gotta earn it though! I gotta prove that rating if I deserve it!
