Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are what we typically use to interact with peripheral devices. But what if we need to transfer a large amount of data and stay online? Or the external device simply doesn't have wireless modules? Then there's another option: USB.
With iOS 16, DriverKit became available, allowing us to write drivers for connected devices without having to participate in the MFi program.
The speaker explained why this can be useful, how to use it, and showed an example of connecting your own ESP32-based hardware to an iPad.
