HOW TO CONVERT IMAGE IN KINDLE FORMAT

STEP 1 / Image Resize and Crop
1. Open GIMP
2. Add image to GIMP
3. Resize the image 600px
4. Crop the excess
5. When the is Corp selected click area selected
STEP 2 / Grayscale
1. Go to menu: Image... Mode... Grayscale
2. Go to menu: Image... Mode... Indexed...
3. In Colormap / Select: Generate optimum palette
4. Insert number 16 in: Maximum number of colors
5. In Dithering / Color dithering / Select: Positioned
6. Click in Converte
STEP 3 / File Format
1. Go to menu: File... Save for web
2. Select png-24
3. Save image
STEP 4 / Upload to the kindle
1. Connect your kindle
2. Copy the image
3. Paste to your kindle /screensaver
