Prototype Woodgas Gasification Camp Stove ✔
Homemade prototype Woodgas Camp Stove made from a soda can and soup can. Skip ahead towards the end of the clip to see the gasification process visual display. This one may have needed more holes at the bottom of the soda can to allow more air flow from the bottom. This video shows the woodgas burning near the end, but the fire went out shortly after that, likely due to a combination of needing more air and a combustion chamber that is too small to sustain a good fire. I could not put a pot or pan on top of this one as it would snuff out the fire, so an external stand or holder would have to be used. This was a good project to start with to prove the theory, but now I'm planning on building a larger one. This might be a do it yourself job if you know what you are doing, but if not seek out a person who does know what they are doing.
