The new RME Digiface Dante and Digiface AVB were launched at Frankfurt Musikmesse 2018 last week. Synthax Audio were there and caught up with RME head of design Matthias Carstens, who took us through the new Digiface Dante and AVB.
The RME Digiface Dante offers 64 channels of Dante I/O as well as 64 channels of MADI I/O. There is also a TRS headphones and line level output to complete the comprehensive I/O in this small form box.
The bus-powered RME Digiface AVB gives you 256 network audio channels as well as Wordclock I/O and like the Digiface Dante, a TRS headphones and line level output.
Both of these Dante and AVB versions come with RME's Totalmix FX making routing and mixing incredibly versatile.
