Ben ‘Faz’ Farestvedt is a producer and mix engineer who runs his own independent studio, Damage Audio. Starting off in the music and recording industry as a touring musician, Faz also worked as a FOH engineer before deciding that recording and helping independent acts get up and running was where his strengths laid.
Working from his studio space in Bedford, UK, Faz has worked with long-standing acts such as Ian Dury and the Blockheads and Tomirae Brown, whilst focusing more recently on local acts like Don Broco, Sarpa Salpa and Low Girl.
After a “much needed” overhaul, Faz decided that the focus of his attention would be the creation of music, rather than the recording. This streamlined his entire studio, building a space that is just as usable by the musician as it is by the engineer. When replacing his digital console, Faz opted for the RME HDSPe MADI FX and ARC USB controller, offering 390 audio channels in the space of a PCIe card.
