July 2023 Note: Microsoft Excel appears to add quote marks around text fields with commas (like the keyword field). Possible workarounds include doing Find-Replace within Photo Mechanic (restricted to the keywords field) to remove quotes, or use Google Sheets which does not appear to have this same behavior)
Learn how to apply metadata to a batch of photos from a spreadsheet using Photo Mechanic.
In the spreadsheet we added a new row with
//== {filename}
and then we added //## as the first cell on the row with the column headers
Use {curly brackets} around {filename} because it's a variable in Photo Mechanic.
Then in our Metadata Template we added these Hot Codes:
[title]
[caption]
[keywords]
Make sure to use [square brackets] when adding in Hot Codes
