Another Makem rarity recorded in 1974, and a great one at that. Written by English folk singer Jeremy Taylor, this is almost like a documentary of the daily life of regular folk. However, I never really knew if Taylor was taking cheap shots at them or not. No matter really. It's still a great song and very singable. And in the end, isn't that all what really matters? This is taken from Tommy Makem's album, In The Dark Green Woods. I always felt that Tommy's golden age as a writer and as a solo artist was from 1969 to 1975.
